History
Maasai Mara National Reserve known as Mara, is named in honor of the Maasai people. Mara means “spotted” in the local Maasai language due to the many short bushy trees dot the landscape. It’s renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and African bush elephants. It also hosts the Great Migration which is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Africa and one of the 10 Wonders of the World.

Destination: Maasai Mara National Reserve
On arrival, you’ll be picked up at the airport, hotel, or a place of residence within Nairobi by 7:00 am EAT. You'll embark on your journey to Masai Mara via Nairobi – Mai Mahiu – Narok road with stopovers at the Great Rift Valley viewpoints and Narok town before checking in at Emaiyan Camp for lunch. Later on, you'll have an afternoon game drive on the plain savanna grasslands of Mara as you spot a variety of wildlife species before embarking on dinner and an overnight stay.
The Great Rift Valley is the longest strip in the world with 9600 km from Mozambique to the Red Sea formed through faulting and sinking with attractive geographical features.
Accommodation: Emayian Luxury Camp - Luxury Tented Camp Outside the Reserve.

You will have breakfast by 7:00 a.m. EAT and head to a full-day game drive. This grants you an opportunity to spot more wildlife animals and visit the border between Masai Mara National Reserve and Serengeti National Reserve. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, or experience more wildebeest migration during the migration period between July to September. After the full-day game drive, you’ll head back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Destination: Nairobi
After breakfast, you’ll be expected to check out of the lodge by 7:30 am EAT, and drive back to Nairobi via Narok-Mai mahiu-Nairobi road. Few stops will be made for health breaks and a chance for one to visit the gift shops to grab something for your loved ones back home or have some bites before driving on to Nairobi at your preferred destination. This will mark the end of your wonderful adventure in Kenya.
