You will depart Nairobi with the 8:00 am train arriving in Mombasa SGR terminus at 2:00 pm. You will be picked by your driver for a transfer to Diani arriving at around 3:30 pm in time for a late lunch and check in, settle into your room, and enjoy the stunning beach views. You have the rest of the afternoon to relax at the hotel or head to the beach for a stroll and watch the sunset
Later you will have your dinner and overnight at the chosen hotel.
Today you have an option of spending the day relaxing at the hotel, engaging in beach activities such as sky diving, jet skiing etc or head ou for a full day Wasini Dolphin Tour.
If you opt for Wasini Dolphin tour, you will have breakfast at the hotel early and prepare for a full day of adventure.
Later, depart for Shimoni where you will board a boat to Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park. The Dolphin Tour offers a chance to see dolphins, snorkel in the coral reefs, and enjoy the beautiful marine life. Keep an eye out for the resident pods of dolphins, and explore the underwater world through snorkeling.
Later, enjoy a traditional Swahili-style lunch on Wasini Island, often served at a local restaurant overlooking the Indian Ocean. Fresh seafood, coconut rice, and local delicacies are typically on the menu.
After lunch, head to the Shimoni Slave Caves, located near Shimoni village. This historical site tells the story of the African slave trade, and you’ll take a guided tour to learn about the caves' significance and hear stories of the past. The caves, used for storing slaves before they were shipped off, are an evocative reminder of Kenya's history.
Return to your hotel by late afternoon or early evening. Relax and enjoy some leisure time at the beach or in the hotel.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with views of the beach. The morning is perfect for a calm, quiet start to the day. You can choose between a full day of beach relaxation or a visit to some of Diani’s attractions

Kaya Kinondo: Visit the Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest for a cultural and nature walk. This forest is part of the Digo people’s sacred grounds and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It offers an enriching experience of both history and biodiversity.
Bora Bora Wildlife Park: For a family-friendly activity, consider visiting Bora Bora Wildlife Park. It’s a smaller, community-driven park that allows you to get up close with rescued animals such as monkeys, antelope, and even a few crocodiles.
Shimba Hills National Reserve: For a safari-style excursion, head to Shimba Hills National Reserve, about 45 minutes from Diani. The reserve is home to elephants, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. Take a game drive or hike to the stunning Sheldrick Falls.
After breakfast, take a final stroll along the beach or dip your toes in the ocean. Enjoy the calmness of the morning before you check out. Depending on your departure time, you can relax in the hotel’s pool or spa for a bit longer.
After check out you will be picked from the Hotel by your driver who will Transfer you to Mombasa SGR Terminus. Board the train for your scenic journey back to Nairobi. The Mombasa-Nairobi SGR (Standard Gauge Railway) train ride offers stunning views of the Kenyan countryside. Enjoy a comfortable ride with refreshments on board as you make your way back to the city.
