You will depart Nairobi at around noon which is the most preferred flight time. On rrival at Malindi Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver who will transfer you to your selected hotel in Malindi. You will arrive in time for lunch and check in.
You can take the rest of the day to unwind and explore the hotel’s amenities, spend time on the pristine beach, swim in the pool, or enjoy a delicious meal by the seaside till the evening soaking in the coastal vibes and preparing for the exciting days ahead.
Option 1: Full-Day Relaxation at the Hotel/Beach
Enjoy a leisurely day at the beach, sunbathing, swimming, or enjoying water sports like kite surfing or windsurfing. You can also indulge in a rejuvenating spa session or simply enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the coastal surroundings.
Option 2: Marafa Hell’s Kitchen, Mambrui Sand Dunes, and Vasco da Gama Pillar
After breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide and head out to explore Marafa Hell’s Kitchen. This breathtaking natural wonder, a gorge of colorful, eroded sandstone formations is an ideal spot for a unique photo opportunity and a relaxing stroll to take in the dramatic landscape.
Afterwards, continue your journey to the striking Mambrui Sand Dunes, where you can enjoy a serene walk or ride camels through the towering dunes for an unforgettable experience.
In the afternoon, you will head out for a sumptuous lunch in a restaurant with in Malindi and later Finish the day with a visit to the Vasco da Gama Pillar, an important historical site erected by the Portuguese in 1498. It stands as a reminder of the area’s colonial past and offers beautiful views of the surrounding coastline.
Later, you will be dropped off for dinner and overnight stay at your hotel
Option 1: Full-Day Relaxation at the Hotel/Beach
Relax once more on Malindi’s beautiful beaches. You can take part in water activities like snorkeling, jet-skiing, or simply indulge in the serenity of the Indian Ocean’s crystal-clear waters. Spend time at the resort spa or enjoy the surrounding nature.
Option 2: Full-Day Watamu Marine Park & Gede Ruins
You will have breakfast at your hotel then be pick up by your driver and head to Watamu. Here you will board a boat and head to Watamu Marine Park. You will explore the vibrant marine life in Watamu Marine Park, a protected area known for its stunning coral reefs. You can opt for a glass-bottom boat ride or go snorkeling/diving to discover the underwater wonders.
After enjoying the marine park, visit the Gede Ruins, an ancient Swahili town dating back to the 12th century. Wander through the ruins and learn about their fascinating history, from the intricate architecture to the mysterious decline of this once-thriving settlement.
Later you will be transferred back to Malindi and be dropped off at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel as you savor the last moments of your tropical getaway. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and take a private road transfer back to Malindi Airport for your flight back to Nairobi.
