This is a thrilling safari to the South West of the Great Rift Valley Kenya where you’ll be exposed to the beautiful Kenyan wildlife phenomenon and social and economic lifestyle. Nairobi - Maasa Mara

On arrival, you’ll be picked up at the Airport, hotel, or a place of residence within Nairobi by 7:00 AM EAT. Embark on your journey to Maasai Mara via Nairobi – Mai Mahiu – Narok road with stopovers at the Great Rift Valley viewpoints, the travelers' church, and Narok town before checking in at Sentrim Lodge for lunch. Later on, have an afternoon Game Drive on the plain Savanna grasslands of Mara as you spot a variety of wildlife species before embarking on dinner and stayover.

The Great Rift Valley is the longest strip in the world with 9600 km from Mozambique to the Red Sea formed through faulting and sinking with attractive geographical features. On the other hand, the travelers’ church built by the Italian prisoners of war in 1942 is the smallest church in Africa, pentagon-shaped and decorated with descriptions in Latin and can only accommodate a maximum of three worshipers.

Masai Mara

You will have breakfast by 7:00 a.m. EAT and head to a full-day game drive. This grants you an opportunity to spot more wildlife animals and visit the border between Masai Mara National Reserve and Serengeti National Reserve. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, or experience more wildebeest migration during the migration period between the months of July to September. After the full-day game drive, you’ll head back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Maasai Mara simply known as Mara, is named in honor of the Maasai people. Mara means "spotted" in the local Maasai language due to the many short bushy trees that dot the landscape. It's renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and African bush elephants. It also hosts the Great Migration which is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Africa & one of the 10 wonders of the world.

Maasai Mara - Naivasha

After breakfast, check out at 7:00 AM EAT. Drive to Maasai village where you’ll interact, learn, and participate in the local dances of the Maasai people. After this, drive to Naivasha with short stopovers for a health break and check in at your hotel for a hot lunch. After the afternoon rest, you'll head for a boat ride and visit Crescent Island by 1500 Hrs -1830 Hrs EAT before heading back to the hotel and a sleepover.

This is a private Island that rose to fame after the 1985 movie “Out of Africa” which showcased the beautiful nature of Lake Naivasha. The Island has plain terrains that are easy to hike and make walking around it less tedious and very interesting. This is a home for a number of bird species and wildlife that includes Zebra, Giraffes, Waterbucks, Impalas, Kongonis, Elands among other animals.

Naivasha - Mt Longonot - Nairobi

Have an early breakfast and depart to Mt. Longonot by 0700 Hrs EAT for hiking, nature walking, and bird watching until 10:00 Hrs when you'll be heading back to the hotel. It's after this that you'll freshen up, have lunch then depart to Nairobi to be dropped at the Airport, a residential place, or a preferred destination within Nairobi City. This will mark the end of the Safari/ Journey.

Mt. Longont is an extinct volcano mountain rising from the floor of Rif Valley with a unique feature of a thick forest lying with the crater of the mountain. The crater rim provides scenic views across the beautiful Rift Valley all the way to Naivasha. While one is taking a hike to the rim of the mountain or a nature walk you may be able to spot a variety of wildlife like Giraffes, Gazelles, Plain Zebras, Elands, Bushbacks, and over 200 species of birds. During the hike, it's advisable to carry simple hiking gear.
