Nairobi → Samburu

Nairobi – Samburu | Into Northern Kenya (Approx. 7 Hours)

Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel north towards the spectacular landscapes of Samburu.

Arrive at Samburu Sopa Lodge for lunch and time to settle in. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Explore the rugged scenery and look out for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and Samburu's unique northern species. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

The reserve is famous for its unique wildlife, including Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and Somali ostrich, as well as elephants, lions, leopards and buffalo.

Your safari guide will follow current wildlife activity and explore the areas offering the best opportunities for sightings.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve or return to the lodge for lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Samburu → Lake Nakuru

Samburu – Lake Nakuru | Into the Great Rift Valley (Approx. 6 Hours)

After breakfast, depart Samburu and travel towards Lake Nakuru National Park, passing through the changing landscapes of Kenya's Great Rift Valley.

Arrive at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge for lunch.

Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, buffaloes, lions and rich birdlife.

The lake and surrounding escarpments create a spectacular setting for photography and wildlife viewing.

Return to the lodge in the evening.

Lake Nakuru → Lake Naivasha

Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha | Boat Ride & Crescent Island (Approx. 2 Hours)

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru for the short journey to Lake Naivasha.

Arrive at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort and enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, take a scenic boat ride across Lake Naivasha, watching for hippos, fish eagles and other birdlife.

Continue to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari. Walk among giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes and other wildlife in a peaceful setting without the usual safari vehicle.

Return to Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort for dinner and a relaxing evening.

After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and continue towards the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve.

Enjoy the changing scenery as you travel from the Great Rift Valley towards the open savannah of the Mara.

Arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge for lunch and some time to relax.
Later, head out for your first afternoon game drive in the reserve.
Search for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and the Mara's famous big cats.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner.

Set out after breakfast for a full-day game drive. Your guide will follow current wildlife movements and take you through different areas of the reserve in search of the best sightings.

Look out for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and large herds of wildebeest.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve before continuing your afternoon safari.
Return to Mara Sopa Lodge for your final night in the Mara.

Masai Mara → Nairobi

Masai Mara – Nairobi | Giraffes & Farewell Lunch (Approx. 6 Hours)

Have breakfast and take your journey back to Nairobi.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, visit the Giraffe Centre, where you can learn about giraffe conservation and enjoy a close-up encounter with these gentle animals.

Continue to Carnivore Restaurant for a memorable farewell lunch.
