Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park (Kenya)
Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. From the airport, you will embark on a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru, which is approximately 160 kilometers (99 miles) away. The journey will take around 3-4 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Along the way, you will pass through picturesque landscapes and rural villages. Upon reaching Lake Nakuru, you will check in at Flamingo Hill Camp, your accommodation for the night. After settling in, you will enjoy an evening game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its flamingos and other bird species. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Flamingo Hill Camp.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserver
After breakfast at Flamingo Hill Camp, you will depart for Masai Mara by 8:00 AM EAT, a journey of approximately 270 kilometers (168 miles). The drive will take you through the scenic Rift Valley, offering breathtaking views of the escarpment. Upon arrival at Masai Mara, you will check in at Zebra Plains Mara Camp for lunch followed by a brief afternoon relaxation. Later in the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve, renowned for the Big Five and a variety of wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Zebra Plains Mara Camp.
Day 3: Full-day Masai Mara National Reserve
Today, you will have a full day to explore the vast plains of Masai Mara. After an early morning game drive, you will return to the camp for breakfast. You can choose to participate in optional activities such as nature walks or visits to a Maasai village to learn about their rich culture and traditions. Lunch will be served at the camp. In the afternoon, you will head out for another exhilarating game drive, with the opportunity to spot more wildlife species. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Zebra Plains Mara Camp.
Day 4: Masai Mara - Northern Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will bid farewell to Masai Mara and begin your journey to Northern Serengeti, crossing the Kenya-Tanzania border at Isebania. The distance from Masai Mara to Northern Serengeti is approximately 180 kilometers (112 miles), and the drive will take around 4-5 hours, including border formalities. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic views of the Serengeti plains and may have the chance to spot wildlife. A picnic lunch will be provided en route. Upon arrival at Tanzania Bush Camp in the Kogatende region of Northern Serengeti, you will check in and unwind. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Tanzania Bush Camp.
Day 5: Northern Serengeti - Central Serengeti
Today, you will wake up early for a morning game drive in Northern Serengeti, known for its dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife, including the Great Migration (seasonal). After breakfast at the camp, you will depart for Central Serengeti. The distance between Northern Serengeti and Central Serengeti is approximately 150 kilometers (93 miles), and the drive will take around 3-4 hours. Upon arrival at Embalakai Camp in Central Serengeti, you will check-in and relax. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area on a game drive. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Embalakai Camp.
Day 6: Central Serengeti - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast at Embalakai Camp BY 7:30 AM EAT, you will have a morning game drive before embarking on a journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The distance from Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro is approximately 200 kilometers (124 miles), and the drive will take around 4-5 hours. You will pass through scenic landscapes and rural villages, with a brief health break. Upon arrival at Marera Valley Lodge, nestled on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Highlands, you will check for lunch. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Marera Valley Lodge.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Departure
Today, you will embark on an unforgettable excursion into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." After an early breakfast at Marera Valley Lodge, you will descend into the crater for a full-day game drive. The crater is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, and hippos, among others. Midway through the day, you will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. In the afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and visit Mto wa Mbu for a cultural tour, where you can interact with local communities and learn about their way of life. Finally, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your safari adventure.
