Tour Plan

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you’ll meet your fellow Golden Week travelers and depart in a luxury pop-up Land Cruiser towards Amboseli National Park, a scenic 4–5-hour drive across Kenya’s southern plains. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge in the heart of Amboseli National Park. Later in the afternoon, head out for an afternoon-evening game drive. This first safari drive introduces you to Amboseli’s famous landscapes characterized by vast open plains with the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the backdrop, and the herds of elephants wandering freely. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner at the lodge and settle into the rhythms of the wild under a starlit African sky.

Spend a full day exploring Amboseli, with morning and afternoon game drives. The park is celebrated for its dramatic scenery and for offering some of Africa’s best close-up elephant encounters. As you traverse the swamps, woodlands, and savanna, keep your camera ready for giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and a wide variety of birds. With luck, Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak will reveal itself with the best time to view the majestic mountain being in the morning, providing a perfect backdrop for unforgettable photos. Between drives, you will have a hot lunch at Sopa’s restaurant at the edge of the park.
In the evening, head back to the hotel for dinner and an opportunity to catch up with other travelers around the fireplace.

After an early breakfast, embark on a journey through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha, arriving by early afternoon.
After checking in at your lakeside lodge, take a tranquil boat ride across the freshwater lake, gliding past pods of hippos and observing the dazzling birdlife such as fish eagles, pelicans, and cormorants. Later, visit Crescent Island, where you can walk safely among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes, creating amazing close-up photos. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.

After breakfast, drive to nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its birdlife and rhinos. Enjoy a game drive on arrival, circling the soda lake fringed by pink flamingos and pelicans. Lake Nakuru is also one of the best places in Kenya to spot both black and white rhinos, as well as Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, and baboons. Later, you will head to the lodge for lunch, check in and relaxation. In the afternoon, climb to scenic viewpoints such as Baboon Cliff for panoramic views of the shimmering lake below or head to Makalia falls. After the afternoon drive, retire to your lodge on the park’s edge for dinner and relaxation.

Depart after breakfast for the world-renowned Maasai Mara, driving across the Rift Valley’s rolling farmlands and into the savanna. You will arrive in time for lunch at your tented camp before heading out on your first Mara game drive. The reserve is teeming with wildlife: elephant herds, towering giraffes, buffalo, and prides of lions lazing in the grass. If lucky, you may even witness the tail end of the Great Wildebeest Migration, with herds still moving through the Mara plains. Return to camp for a gourmet dinner under the African night sky.

Today is dedicated to exploring the Maasai Mara on extended game drives. At dawn, the plains come alive with predators on the hunt, and the soft morning light makes this the best time for photography. With nearly a thousand lions in the ecosystem, encounters with big cats are almost certain. Spend the day tracking the Big Five, lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino, while also admiring cheetahs, hyenas, and a wide range of antelope species. At lunch hour, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at the banks of the most iconic and important river in the park, the Mara River. Back at camp, enjoy another evening of fine dining and relaxation.
