
Maasai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara simply known as Mara, is named in honor of the Maasai people. Mara means “spotted” in the local Maasai language due to the many short bushy trees dot the landscape. It’s renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and African bush elephants. It also hosts the Great Migration which is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Africa and one of the 10 Wonders of the World.
